Renata Kaveh

Renata Kaveh is a photographer and art director based in Toronto, working between fashion editorial, portraiture and campaign imagery. Her pictures favour a quiet, deliberate kind of drama — clean light, considered colour, and a subject who is always allowed to look back at the camera.

She shoots for magazines and brands across North America and Europe, and directs the art and casting on much of her own work. Her ongoing personal series Sleep to Dream — a set of surrealist self portraits made in a single apartment — has been exhibited and published internationally.
